Q. If I am a registered student, can I take unlimited online classes offered by HS2 Academy?

A. Yes, you may. As long as you have genuine interests in the subjects and participate fully by being attentive and completing all assignments, you are welcome to join our diverse classes.

Q. What kind of devices are needed to participate in online classes?

A. You can use your cellphone, tablet, laptop or home computer.

Q. Do I have to buy textbooks?

A. It depends on the class you take. For most classes, you do not need to purchase anything. There will be certain classes that you would need to purchase textbooks on your own, such as AP or SAT II subject classes. If you need to purchase materials, including the books, you will be instructed to do so after you register.

Q. What is the duration of the classes?

A. It depends on the class you register for. Some classes such as AP or SAT II classes usually have a duration between 4 to 10 weeks, while others are ongoing.

Q. Can I ask questions in online classes?

A. Of course. You can raise your virtual hand and there will be a chat box for you to communicate with the teacher. You can even write on screen to express your ideas. Since it’s a live class with a real human teacher, we encourage full participation from everyone.

Q. Do the teachers assign homework or diagnostic tests?

A. Yes. For certain classes, the teachers do assign homework in order to reinforce what they teach in class. Furthermore diagnostic tests are essential in seeing your progress as well as for discussion in class.

Q. To participate in the online classes, do I need to register for a zoom account?

A. Not necessarily, but we strongly recommend you do. All classes will be taught using the Zoom platform. We will distribute the Zoom code for a particular class 5 hours prior to the start. You can either visit the Zoom web page or download the Zoom APP to enter the code to join the class.

Q. Do I have to go to your branch locations to register?

A. You are welcome to visit any of our branches to register, but you can also do it easily on our website. All you need is a credit card. (Due to the Coronavirus, we strongly recommend you do it online for the time being)

Q. If I’m already a registered package student of HS2, do I still need to register online?

A. No, it’s not necessary. Please call your respective branch and we will register you for your selection.

Q. What do I do after I register?

A. Someone from HS2 will contact and direct you to the next step to prepare for the class. If you are not a registered student, you will be required to fill out a registration form before you can participate.

Q. Can I start taking classes immediately?

A. As long as you have registered and your information is in the system, then you can participate immediately.

Q. Do you offer other services beside online classes?

Q. Do I have to pay for the whole duration of the class?

A. No, you don’t have to. We charge per week, so you just pay for how many weeks you deem necessary. That being said it’s preferable you complete the test preparation class for full grasp of the material to prepare you for the actual test.

Q. If I want to extend my participation, do I have to pay another registration fee?

A. No, you don’t. The registration is a one time payment. Once you are in our system, all you have to do is pay for the weeks you want to continue taking the unlimited classes.

Q. Can I share my password with family and friends?

A. Of course not. Not only is it unethical, but teachers will take attendance. If someone doesn't belong in the class, he/she will be blocked. To be unblocked, you will have to contact our office.

Q. It’s mentioned for new registration, we get a free meeting. How do we do that?

A. All you have to do is call 1-888-595-0009 or email us at info@hs2counseling.com to arrange a meeting either in-person or by other means such as telephone, Skype, etc. We will provide an evaluation of your progress in terms of your college goals, as well as suggestions on how to get ahead.
